During my university experience of joining the mental health society, the committee members had shared their stories and worries on their mental health experiences, this became an eye-opening experience. I had come across similar, recognisable behaviours, emotions, and mental patterns in which they were going through whilst on the journey of struggle and stages of healing which I resemble with.

I came to the stage of my mental health where I wanted to sit with my thoughts, befriending my mind, and face my past, this required me to have a practice of resilience, patience, strength to embrace my emotions. A recurring question appeared during this journey; What if scars and traumas were worn with pride instead of carrying them with shame? What about embracing the inner child to allow growth and acceptance?
